Re: What to do?

Borack's token of friendship is quite useless in the darkness, the slavers
apparantly being unable to see his extended hand. However, one of them soon
lights a torch to see who confronts them.

"It's the other mage!" snarls a badly-beaten slaver. "I HATE mages! How many
do they have? Three?" The leather-clad men turn and mutter to themselves,
cursing their ill fortune - after all, they thought they were being attacked
by a horde of warriors! "Three mages and two wounded soldiers?" they growl as
they search the newly-lit battlefield through the flickering torchlight. The
rain forever hinders the torch's flame, but it manages to hold out for the
time being. "Three puny little mages and two half-dead fighters? Why the hell
did we retreat, Samnol?" sneers a second slaver.

"Shut up!" says Samnol, the leader. Then, turning to you, he says "We won't
release him that easily. We can't trust you - in fact, one of your party is
attempting to backstab us right now!" He turns his head in Carideth's
direction, who is still outside the range of torchlight. Carideth is also
quite certain no one could have possibly heard him. "Come out, you traitorous
scum! I know you're there! Come out or the mage dies!" He turns and assumes a
new stance, hands on shoulders, as he impatiently waits for something to
emerge from the darkness.

Meanwhile, another slaver curses at the failing torch light. "Bedamned rain!"
Shielding the flame as best as possible, he drops down for a second to
retrieve a lantern from a sack near the leader, which he begins to light. This
may be your only chance to attack while they still have a questionable light
source - but still, they will kill Ruinad if they see you attacking, and even
if they don't see you, there's a pretty good chance he'll end up dead. What
are you doing? (esp. Carideth and Borack)
