Situation

Please excuse my brevity today but I'm a bit short on time..

Ivan makes several attacks at the lantern-wielding slaver, not quite
decapitating him but causing serious wounds to his neck. Borack, too, attempts
to end the slaver's life but is unable to get a clean blow in with all the
fighting going on between him and Ivan. Carideth, on the other hand, scores
several successful hits on the slaver leader, but again, the brute makes
absolutely no attempt to retaliate. He merely sits there on his horse,
parrying when possible, but never attempts to attack any of your party.
The slaver with the whip manages a successful strike on Carideth, but his
armour absorbs the damage in full. Malcolm arrives in time to try to beat the
whipper to death with his stout wooden staff, but the slaver turns around just
as Malcolm's staff is about to cave in his skull and quickly dodges.

Aarvarkin runs blindly northward, but gets hopelessly lost when trying to find
the slaver. He can still see the flikering lantern light behind him, but his
eyes cannot penetrate the darkness ahead or to the sides of him. He can
probably make it back to the others in one round and still have a chance to
attack, but it seems hopeless to pursue the hostage-holding slaver any
further.
