Much to Aardvarkin's dismay, the ring does NOT slip off from the man's finger.

As for Borack's threat, the slaver merely grins, and promptly passes out. You
are then able successfully bind his wound, but it doesn't look like this guy
is going to wake up for quite a while.
Malcolm, Ivan, and Carideth, who were holding the leader, now release him
since he poses no threat (yes, believe me on this one).
"Oh, this is great," whines the priest. "How are we supposed to get
information out of him now? Wait until he comes around? Or should I risk
casting a very limited healing spell on him? I still have one left. Hey, that
reminds me - we still have that OTHER slaver prisoner a ways back. Shall I go
fetch him?"
