*** NOTICE TO PLAYERS ***
Borack is now under DM control, as his player had to go to Moose Jaw
for a few days. I am also pleased to announce the introduction of a new
character to the online adventure.
*** AND NOW BACK TO YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED PLAYING ***
You are in the midst of your conversation when you hear a shout
and some frantic barking coming from down the road. A previously
unnoticed slave cart lays overturned at the nearest intersection. From
within, you can see a lean, powerful warrior shouting and waving in
your direction. A small brown dog is in his hands, blatantly refusing
any attempts made by the man to quiet it.
"Hey! Can you give me a hand with these bars?" says the man. You
take a few steps forward for a closer look. He seems to be very tall,
and is clothed in a strange armor that resembled splint mail. His head
is devoid of hair save for a small tawny lock tied up in a curl on the back of
his head. His eyes narrow and he looks around frantically as if expecting
someone. "Quick! Before they find me and take me away again!"
It is quite obvious to you that this man is a gladiator - an
unwilling participant in public combat arenas in the east. This man is
being held captive and is probably being transported to the northern
reaches to fight in some bloody spectacle. "Please, help me! The wagon
has overturned and my master is trapped underneath! We can take the cart and
drive to the next village in a few hours if you hurry! I promise I'll do
anything to help you, if you just help me escape!"
