The gnome pauses, and grumbles over what Carideth has said. "Prisoners,
guests, whatever.. as long as you come with us," he insists. "Right, now let's
go.."

He turns around and reaches up for the handle of the door, but when he pulls
the latch, it is still stuck. The leader turns around and grins sheepishly at
you. "Heh heh heh.. uh, actually, maybe not.. or could you, uh, er.. that is
to say, would it be.. um.. hmmm..."

"You want us to open the door?" suggests Carideth.

"Yes! Er, no.." says the gnome, obviously too caught up in his pride to admit
he cannot open the door. "It's just, uh, well, we wouldn't want you running
off behind us now, eh? You go first!"

Silently chuckling to himself, Carideth walks over to the door and gives it a
good tug. However, it fails to respond. When Ivan attempts the same feat and
fails as well, the gnomes all start laughing.

"What the hell are you laughing about?" roars the gladiator. "You couldn't
open it either!"

"Well, uh..." stammers the leader. "I, uh..." He stops there and turns around,
nodding to his fellow gnomes to continue their breaking of the door.
The leader crosses his arms on his chest and sniffs. "This may take a while..
I wonder what these pools are for.."

The gnome starts off in a southwesterly direction and ends up staring into the
southernmost pool. "Isn't that something," he says to himself. "The key's in
here.."

Indeed, there are other things in other pools as well. Care to have a look?
