Hmmmm. Fascinating. Finally, a conundrum. Since the pool with the key
withered the board, it's probably sensitive to anything organic. Anybody got
anything metal that they don't need in order to dip it into the pool?
(assuming that my assumption is correct; since the key is undamaged, the
corrosive agent in the pool should not harm metal or anything inorganic).
About the painting: There really isn't anything special about the painting in
the way of pigments used, or inlays, huh? What exactly is the position of the
man and the book? Is there any expression on his face?
