The ranger will inspect the chest, then search the room for secret door,
illusionary stuff and the like. Hmm... out of curiousity, what is the floor
made of in this room? Could we create a small diverting passage in the ground
<a channel of sorts... > to lower the liquid level in the pool.. then we could
perhaps reach it with a blade or something similar... we could run the trench
from pool d to pool b <between a & c... essentially we'd begin in the center,
and work towards each pool, leaving a small restraining wall in place while we
climbed out... then merely smash the walls... allow the organic-burning water
to flow into the slime chamber and destroy that atrocity... we could then try
and fish the key out with a pick or another weapon... <if the liquid flowed as
indicated, the level couldnt be more than 2 or 3 ft deep>
and incidentally gang... might i be getting slightly off-track by noting that
we ARE NOT stuck in this room and have a perfectly good exit?
that big mural has interest tho... Carideth decides to go over to the pool and
"swwep" the bottom w/ a board...
how them gnomes doin?
