Carideth, apparently unworried, places his hands on the hilts of his weapons,
to be drawn quickly should the ranger be attacked. "It is with great
reluctance, friend gnome, that i must say that i will not willingly surrender
myself to unjust arrest. Your leader was behaving in a manner that is
discrediting to your race, as i take you and your fellows to be of good
example. Repeatedly he besmirched both the honor of myself and my companions,
yet even then i would not smite a lethal blow. If your society is so
honorable, why did you allow your captain to dirty our honor and degrade us to
the ranks of prisoners, when we came willingly as guests? If you shoul still
attempt to arrest me or my fellows, i give you fair warning that i will slay
thee and thy companions when the first weapon is raised against us, as
sorrowfully as the sadness would strike me down also. If battle be the
outcome of your deliberations, let me not be forced to slay thee; rather i
pray one of my companions will bear the burden; as weak a man as that may make
me, i pray it be so. By the honor of my elven and human parentage, i swear
that once i am forced to draw my weapons, death will have a few more souls
with which to deal. What is your answer friend gnomes... friends or foes?"

The ranger will draw his weapons if attacked, and attempt to disarm/trip<leg
sweep>/parry <in that order of attack <the 3rd is in obvious ref to 3rd
attack/rnd if i have it..just confirming to reduce hassle>

your back-hnady ranger,

Carideth
