Borack is the first to move forward in the round. He steps up until he is
nearly standing over Malcolm's head and waves his quarterstaff in preparation
for an attack. The spider, sensing this, takes a few more steps backwards and
lowers its head even further. With one fluid motion, the elven mage lifts his
quarterstaff and once again brings it down upon the spider. You hear a
cracking sound as the wood collides with the creatures left front leg,
momentarily stunning it. However, after a second or two it returns to its
senses and begins retreating, always keeping its head facing the party.
Carideth lunges forward, carving deadly arcs in the air with his two
longswords. Unfortunately, none of them reach their mark, since the spider
skillfully evades the weapons' paths. Ivan ducks low, shield at the ready, and
follows Carideth until he bumps into a limp form on the floor, which he begins
to drag back through the doorway into the room.

Greenbolt and Aardvarkin are unable to attack this round; by the time they
have positioned themselves and the others have gotten out of the way, the
spider has crawled down the hallway, and, according to Carideth, has turned a
corner and is now retreating to the south. Borack is currently holding the
door open, but he is clearly exerting alot of effort. "Well?" barks the mage.
"I can't keep this open forever - which side of the door are we going to stay
on?"
